Thank you!
Oct. 25th, 2004 11:30 amThree days later, and I'm still feeling a little unreal. This is the first time back at my computer since Friday and I must say, I don't like it. Not one little bit. Not the computer, I like my computer, just the sitting in front of it that irks me now.
It's all right, though. I'm just going to clear off my data onto CD and put my dissertation on the boy's computer to finish the revisions. That way, I can burn everything to CD right away without going through a bunch of down- and up-loading. Not that you care, just sayin'.
The important thing is that my little Inspiron 4100 will no longer be used for PhD-related business, or for storage of massive amounts of Agrobacterial information, but will very shortly become my place for games and pictures and music.
First game on the agenda: Oregon Trail.
Maybe a little Sims, but that game really just sucks me dry. We'll see.
After I've done with the revisions, it's off to the printer, then off to the bindery, then back to Bton again to turn it all in and be officially DONE.
I'll work on a recap of my defense, but for now I want to get started on all this computing mumbo-jumbo. I would find it far too easy right now to enter abject goof-off mode, but that would be unwise. And of course, overeducated as I am, I shouldn't act unwisely.
Riiiiiiiight.
Thank you for your kind wishes, special posts and expressions of joy at my success. Every one of you brought another smile to my already smile-ached face. Thank you thank you thank you.

seriously though... I can only imagine how hard this has been... you really are a "get the job done" kinda girl.
That's a very valuable feature in a human.
