Testing. . . 1-2-3. . .
Aug. 14th, 2005 10:57 amSunday morning, 5 am.
Jeff's alarm buzzes and the day begins with dog-ear flapping and puppy yipping as The Man gets ready for work. Downstairs, I can hear mom and dad moving around, as they get ready for their own early departure.
A few minutes later, Jeff heads down with the dogs and I struggle into my bathrobe before following him down.
By 6:30, everyone was gone and I wandered back to bed, puppy in tow, and read for about an hour before dozing off until 10.
I'm tired and not quite sure what to do with myself now that I'm alone for the first time in a week. It's really quiet.
We shopped, we gardened, we laid a wood floor in the living room, ate, watched movies, visited the Amana Colonies, shopped and ate some more. It was a good vacation and a good visit with the folks.
Now, breakfast.
Later, I'll sweep the sawdust from the garage and finish some laundry.
Time to take it easy after taking it easy. . .
