Fun with Samuel
Aug. 10th, 2007 09:47 amDuring a lull in Samuel's holler fest last night, we had a little fun. Mom had just laid him down on his back in our bed and I bounced up and knelt over him. He lay there, looking at me, with his right fist raised over his head and his other down by his side.
I told him he looked like he was doing semaphore, so I raised my left arm and put my right by my side to mirror him. I played at semaphore as I knelt over him, then stopped again in the same position. "Follow mommy," I told him, as I raised and lowered my right fist.
After a few repetitions, I saw the light go on in his eyes and he raised his left arm so we were mirror images again.
I was so proud of him I cried, "Yay, Samuel!" which was his cue to scream.
*eye roll*
We'll try the mirror game again when he's in a good mood.
