I've been ridiculously busy these last several days. Busy to the point of distraction. Busy to the point I had to just stop and breathe this evening when I came home.
I did want to share the good news with you, though. My very firstest paper has now been officially accepted to Molecular Microbiology.
Skippity doo! Yahooey!
And I hope I don't jinx it by telling this to you, but it looks as though my cover design may also be accepted!
Not that I've been able to take any time to celebrate. . . that will have to wait for the day we receive the pre-prints. In the meantime it's all about getting figures and text into format for the publisher, trying to keep my benchwork alive, and teaching.
Hence, the stress.
I will add that the new Quizno's ad pisses me off in a way few commercials can. If you find yourself unfortunate enough to see and hear it, I'm sorry. I think my ears are bleeding.
