Of course!
Jun. 11th, 2004 03:15 pmI just spent an hour looking for a 1976 Analytical Biochemistry article that I copied for myself about an eon and a half ago. I'm finally going to run the experiment and need the protocol. Anyway, I just went through all my notebooks and files and stacks looking for this thing because going to the library to dig it up and copy it again would be too much of a pain for my lazy ass.
I finally found it, yay.
Silver lining, I tripped down Benchwork Memories Lane and purged a bunch of unnecessary paperwork from my desk in the process.
In other news (and speaking of purging) I have decided to move out early. Many many of my sleepless nights have been spent in thoughts of moving shit, getting rid of shit, packing shit blah blah blah. These and other stress-laden thoughts have been keeping me up until 1 and 2 in the morning every night for weeks. Some of my mental meanderings were punctuated by fun thoughts of playing house with the boy. Not that I'll be in Louisville all the time, as I'll be living as an itinerant bunking down in the homes of my generous friends and advisor. But, and this is a big but, my homebase will be the same as that of The Man I Love, and that's all good.
I have made yet another snap decision and my loving family has once again stepped up to help me out. I am one lucky lady, let me tell you.
The confocal microscope is not working yet, so that's not so lucky.
The sonicator will be back in-house early next week. Unlucky delays, but at least it's coming back.
The cloning gods are not smiling on me yet, but I may have found a way to please them. We'll see.
I need luck and I need my muse, and I am in desperate need of sleep. Other than that, I'm pretty ok.
