Coralville is stupid
Mar. 8th, 2005 03:33 pmI moved here on December 20th.
Today is March 8th and I have not yet received a water bill.
Coralville bills water every other month.
Oh, and they add $9 for trash (per month, so $18 per bill) on top of the $45 per can tag (per year).
I called today to find out where my bill might be hiding and was told that my meter was read on Feb. 27, which was two months after I moved in. *counts in head* Um. Ok. I'll get my bill by the end of this month, and it will be due April 15.
April 15, people. Four months after I moved in, I will pay my first water bill.
Did I mention that Coralville is a stupid town?
We're now nationally known for our federal pork-dollar spending on *get this* a rainforest. That's right, ladies and gents. We're gettin' a rainforest here in Iowa, courtesy of the American taxpayer.
So I live in a stupid town in a stupid state and I don't want to leave (at least, not for the West Coast) because it'll take me too far away from the place I want to call home. Weird?
