(no subject)
Aug. 24th, 2005 01:38 pmSchool started this week. I am happy to say that this fact has little impact on my life beyond the annoyance of dealing with the rugrats, their rudeness and their gawdawful driving habits when out in public. Oh, and I'm always cramped on the bus.
All in all, not too bad I guess.
Things are much slower in the lab this week, as I'm trying to be a good molecular biologist and have been thus far thwarted either by (a) my own brain farts or (b) somebody else's incomplete data. No biggie, but I fear I'm not making a Big Splash with my new boss. I don't really think a Big Splash is necessary, but it would have been nice.
The Boy has worked the past five nights, which means I've seen him asleep in the mornings before I leave and he's seen me asleep (or nearly so) at night when he comes home. This is me hating the people he works with and especially the people doing the scheduling. They scheduled him for TEN DAYS in a row, people. That's just ridiculous. Today though, he'll be off at 6, so I'm looking forward to, say, sharing a conversation and perhaps a meal together. Get to know each other. Won't that be nice?
Otherwise, there's plenty of stress, headaches, unresolved problems, and delayed dreams to be enjoyed.
I suppose things are getting better, including the weather, but the big things haven't gotten better and nothing's getting better NOW, DAMMIT.
le sigh
