Jul. 3rd, 2006 09:17 amI had a marvellous, hour-long deep tissue massage on Saturday morning, thanks to one of my fantabulous friends,
travellight. Holly worked on my neck for an awful long time, and I could hear her breath straining with the effort to work out the kinks she found there. She suggested I do this every three or four weeks until I get my neck into some sort of normal shape. . . if I can manage it, I will. My neck is the trigger point for most of my migraines anymore, so it makes sense to attack them there.
Anything to avoid taking pills!
With the pain management program, I've managed to decrease the frequency of my migraines to the point where I actually have to find a new identity for myself. . . one for which Migraineur no longer tops the list of Who Am I qualities. It's not as easy as it may sound.
The rest of life right now is just a jumble of planning, hoping and waiting.
