Seven shots for Dixon down, three to go.
The ped endo called yesterday evening to say that (a) Dixon's baseline testosterone was undetectable, but that's expected in a boy who is nowhere near puberty; and (b) his karyotype is perfectly normal. Good. No Klinefelter's. I was pretty certain he'd have a normal karyotype, but it's a reasonable thing to rule out. I only wish it hadn't meant such a traumatic blood draw.
The boys have their checkups on the 20th. Gotta remember to ask about Dixon's snoring. Infant snoring and sleep apnea can be very dangerous, and we need to know what to be watching for. Samuel seems right as rain, doing normal limit-testing 2 year old things. We may be nearing a linguistic explosion, which has me very excited. Jeff, Samuel and I were playing with the alphabet puzzle last night, and Samuel did remarkably well with his letter sounds and identification.
They both make me so happy, it sometimes seems unreasonable to feel so in love and to worry about them so much.
And with that meandering wander down Gushy Mom Broken Record Road, I get back to work.
Do any of you know how to nap with your eyes open?
