We had a great weekend and a romantic first anniversary. I'll have photos from that maybe tonight.
We also have a brand new bed - Tempurpedic! It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. ;)

In the meantime, this handsome fella would like to say hello. He's been crawling and climbing and pulling up and falling over for days, so he is happy and devastated in turns. Yay! Lookit me! *thunk* WAAAAAAAAAH! Ooh! What's this? *thump* WAAAAAAAAAH!

As I pulled into the parking lot at the Brown last night, i thought to myself "man, it's been nearly a year since i've been here. No, wait, it's been exactly i year since I was here! Happy Anniversary, B!"

and then I parked and walked over to the Palace to see Tori. And thought of you some more.

It's good that he's actually being entertaining. In the past week, I've spent time with a 1, 3, and 4 month old, and they seem to do a whole lot of just sitting there. The 4 month old kid had just learned to flip himself over, which was a huge deal for his parents, but which was fairly unimpressive for the rest of us. We'd have liked some running into stuff and whatnot.

Of course, in just a couple of years, as he's putting a fork into the electrical socket, you'll probably be wishing that he was still only at the turning-himself-over stage.

Yes, he's definitely more entertaining than he was in his first few months - but even then watching every new little milestone is a mindblowing experience as this tiny creature learns to interact with his world. What's really cool (and this helps during the more difficult times) is that he loves us now. At first, you're just at the beck and call of this tiny demanding thing and you get no positive reinforcement. Now, there are hugs and gazes and smiles and snuggles... *sigh*

He has a sense of humor and a laugh that can cure all ills.

And all the rational scientific thought in the world doesn't negate the power of the physiological response in every interaction with him.

This morning, he hung out with me as I got dressed in my closet. He chewed on the strap of one of my pumps for a good while, and then dove into my laundry pile with his face in yesterday's underwear.
