It's enough to make your head spin when you think about all of it - how mired we are in it, and how we're never, ever going to get out from under it.

Date: July 16th, 2003 07:40 pm (UTC)I'd be all for fewer regulations if it meant that the regulations we kept were meaningful and actually enforced. We don't need to be told how thick a slice of cheese should be, but it seems to me a good idea to regulate slaughterhouses.
