We were all ready to get the paper in, but Clay called our collaborator to see if she had any comments - we hadn't heard back from her and he wanted to be polite. Of course, all of a sudden she decides she has lots to say. Shit. So poor Clay is sitting in his office looking like he wants to pull his hair out. It's 4:45.
I'm supposed to be leaving town in just over an hour, and here I am, still at work. The lawn isn't mown - it won't get mown today - and I'm not packed yet. The laundry isn't folded, and I didn't get to vacuum the house.
No moving into the new lab, either. Delay, delay, delay on that front. Ho hum.
But I had a bunch of mo-mo to eat, courtesy of my friends Dave and Adrienne. I ate all but two of them. I'll try to snarf down the salad before I leave this evening. Thanks, guys!
Poor Clay. He's been on the phone for more than an hour. :-(
