bronwynrhI just heard back from a woman I wrote to at Wisconsin. The woman is brilliant and does fantastic research that I'd love to get into.
She was very gracious, expressed sorrow that we hadn't had the chance to speak at the Victoria meeting - she's aware of my work and is interested.
As she put it, however, the sad reality is that she doesn't currently have room in her lab for new researchers - "even those of your caliber".
Sad me :-(
