Weekly post?

bronwynrhIt seems I can only manage to post once a week lately. I've been checking in, but just haven't had the oompf to write. Hell, if I don't have enough oompf tro write every day on my thesis or the review, what business do I have writing here?
With my dad's help (and that of several colleagues), I got moved out of the house. Y'all already know that. Since dad left last Wednesday (or was it Tuesday? I've lost all track of time) I've managed to make progress on that cloning I've been struggling with and performed an experiment twice, only to find that the results simply aren't interesting. There goes one little hypothesis down the drain.
Or maybe that assay just isn't sensitive enough. Meh.
I'll know by the end of tomorrow or by Wednesday morning if I've made any more progress on the cloning. Until then, it's waitwaitwait. I need to start a whole load of cultures just to freeze 'em down so they're ready for assays, and I've known it for a while, but for some reason I keep putting it off. I guess I want those last clones first. I should just assay the ones I have and redo it all once I have the new clones to add to the sets, but . . . meh.
Still no word on the confocal microscope.
The sonicator is acting up again. So much for getting it FIXED.

I went ahead and sent out applications to two highly prestigious IP law firms. I have since been having dreams of rejection.
pleasepleaseplease o godsIdon'tbelievein! inspire a great employer to. . . employ me.
Then get them to hire my boyfriend and help us find a house and help pay to move us there.
Then I can finally Settle Down and Start My Family.
