What a good girlfriend am I
Jul. 2nd, 2004 06:05 pmAnd what a terrible grad student.
*grin*
I sat in the lab, feeling miserable and icky. I felt mentally stupid, emotionally drained, physically exhausted and sickish. I said to myself, I said, "Self, get the fuck out of here."
So I worked for an hour longer, then got the fuck out.
I called the Boy to ask when he was getting off work, assuming he'd figure out what was up. He called me back when I was halfway here and I pretended that I was just thinking about coming to see him early. I wasn't feeling well, did I really want to be driving like that. . . you know.
So I've been here for an hour now, and the boy will be home shortly. I called him when I arrived and asked if he'd be willing to wait for my arrival. Then I asked if he could get off work early. He asked why. I told him cuz I'm already here.
Goofus just called the house on the landline. I knew it was him, so I picked up. "What are you doing answering my phone!?!" Cuz I'm psychic, Loverman.
Ha. Goofball. He'll be here in about 5 minutes.
