What's up with LJ?
Aug. 4th, 2004 07:51 amI just received three emails for comments posted on July 6 and July 2. So, um, shebear, boreal and nadine, I just got your messages.
In other news that's not news, my LJ subscription is about to expire. I'd better take care of that or lose my lovely fancy status.
In yet other news, I'm in Iowa City now, for my interview. We had dinner at MP's house last night with his co-PI PS and their respective SOs. I think it went pretty well, and I only made one comment that I regret. It probably went unnoticed, or I at least hope it was taken the way it was meant, and not the way it could have been construed.
Oh well.
I stayed the night at the Brown St. Inn, a lovely B&B that reminds me of the Brandt House in Greenfield MA, where I spent a lot of time when I was in high school. I woke up too early this morning though, and had a lot of very strange dreams, so I'm not quite bright-eyed and busy-tailed. Breakfast and a little more coffee should solve that problem.
I haven't gone over my seminar again, and I'd like to do that. . . maybe I'll find a little time later for that. Or maybe I'll just have to wing it.
That sounds a wee bit dangerous.
I'll be back in Bton late tonight, so I'll update here tomorrow.
Next week: Madison, WI.
