The usual, that's what.

No, not really. My Iowa interview went well, and MP made me an offer. I was expecting it, but was trying not to be overconfident. Then again, I've known him and his work for 6 years - we met when I was interviewing at Iowa for grad schools and he was just graduating with his PhD.

I'm going to make a trip out to Wisconsin to visit NR next week. I was going to go this week, on the 12th, but he needed to change plans. So now I'm going next-next Tuesday. It means I'll have a delay in making my final decision, but it ALSO means that I get to go home sooner than I thought.

YAY!

The folks whose house I'm watching will be back on Wednesday evening, so I'm just going to pack up that morning, put in a full day in the lab, and then hit the road.

I'll be missing lab meeting on Thursday, but to make up for that, I'm going to ask AT if she wants to go over her talk with me beforehand. That way I can help her out (if she wants my help) and skip the meeting guilt-free.

So it's home on Wednesday to reacquaint myself with my boyfriend, Johnny, write my dissertation, and play with my kitties.

Wait, something's wrong with that. His name IS Johnny, right? Or is it Joey? Jim?

Damn.

Oh well. At least I remember what ol' whatsizname looks like, and I remember that I think I'm in love with him.

I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say 'brilliant'. . . although I suppose it depends on how you define your brilliance scale, huh?

:) Thanks

I like this picture too, since it's the first picture of you I ever saw.

But you're not thinking about me in this picture, so it's not my favorite ;-)

I do love that smile, though. You don't smile nearly enough.

*kisses*
