Just in case any of you still think Harriet Miers is a good choice for the Supreme Court, Take a gander at the evidence of her less-than-stellar intellectual prowess. Links galore, so feast your eyes and smack your forehead in dismay.

I guarantee you'll wind up with a bruise by the time you're done.

I am so very afraid.

Yay! I'm relieved (temporarily).

Harriet Miers is a poor Supreme Court choice for a lot of reasons, but lack of intellectual prowess is not among them. This is bar magazine fluff, which nobody writes well.

She's a bright enough lawyer, and nobody would worry much if she had gotten a district or even circuit court appointment.

The problem, from my point of view, is that she was chosen as a "stealth candidate among my cronies" rather than as an "experienced hand" in the way that Roberts, whatever his flaws, is.

Coming from lawyer, that helps.

The cronyism is, indeed, my biggest problem with her as well.

This is amazing. GWB is so stupid he didn't even realize what a bad choice she is. Guess that goes without saying, huh?

I don't think you'll find too many people that think she's a "good choice for Supreme Court" including her. She just withdrew her candidacy. It was immediately recognizable from the beginning that she did not fit the bill.
No need to fear.

I actually listened to a local "Christian" radio station on this woman, and even that made me think "Huh?"
