As per request . . .
Dec. 28th, 2005 09:20 pmChristmas loot, listed in no particular order:
1. Polish pottery tea pot, dish and two mugs. Tealicious and ver' ver' purty!
2. Two pairs of spiffy dangly earrings. Purty on me!
3. A book about the American Revolution. . . about the people you don't see on our money. Feeds my inner nerd. Happy me.
4. $$ from the future in-laws. *and the inner shopaholic leaps!*
5. A throw pillow with a unicorn tapestry pattern on it - from MOMA (and the future in-laws). Sits nicely behind me in my office chair.
6. A carved stone box from the future in-laws. Purty!
7. A book by Edward Gorey. Ewwwwww cool!
8. A fondue pot. (me too, Melissa!)
9. A pair of cute and goofy crocheted slippers from Eddie Bauer. Keep my toes cozy.
10. A gift card for Ann Taylor - or is that "at"? Whatever, you know what I mean and my inner shopaholic rejoices.
11. A gift card for Pier One - see #10.
12. A recipe organizer - for our cooking pleasure.
13. Fox in Socks with a surprise inside. My inner child rejoices. :)
14. The Monster at the End of this Book. HeeHee! *wipes tears*
15. An indoor/outdoor remote thermometer thingie. So now I'll know just how cold I really am in the mornings!
16. A dining room table and chairs. Ahhh domestic bliss.
17. Two packages of mulling spices. Smell the goodness!
18. Vanilla base. Oh. My. God. It's SuperVanilla! I can't wait to cook with it!
19. Kitchen gadgets unique, wished for, and intriguing all, and a funny little pack of tissues graced with a picture of a tiara'd blonde and the phrase "Domestically Disabled". Haha, mom and dad.
And of course mom and dad brought a Suburban-load of odds and ends and other requested goodies from the Texan homefront. Grandma's sewing box, which now holds my crochet stash (I'll have to get a picture - it's really cool), a pile of books I somehow left behind, grandma's old tin shaker for my cinnamon toast habit, yummy flannel sheets for the boy and me, plus a super-floofy feather bed and duvet. OMG my bed and heaven have become one.
I hope I didn't forget anything. I'm sure the boy will let me know if I did. . . :)
There ya go, Lori! Love you!

And I got
Date: December 29th, 2005 02:48 pm (UTC)The cats seemed to think the recliner was going to eat them and would crouch 4 feet away and then dash past. Course Bart is of the opinion that any thing that moves from what was its "permanent" place in the house to another must be alive and will get him. Strange animal.
