Fifteen workdays to freedom
Jul. 10th, 2006 05:14 pmWe weren't supposed to get rain today, but of course the sky clouded over this afternoon. I should have known, my neck was tight and snappish. I'd turn my head only slightly and would hear snap crackle pop from my neck to the bottom of my shoulder blade. Turning the crank wheel seal whatchamacallit on the autoclave caused my back to snap, too. Not good.
Now it's raining and the bus ride was on the long route, capped off with a wonderful slamming of brakes and horn blasting at two, count 'em two, asshats who pulled out in front of us with only inches to spare. Add to that the hollering woman and the alternating frigid and mouldy smelling blasts of recirculated air, and what you have is a migraine.
Fuckitalltobits.
I want to paint the last wall upstairs, but it's probably wiser to just settle down to crochet.
In other news, Sprint is stupid. After taking every other month to call them for some billing error or other, I finally called this month to ask why I've been charged both Iowa AND Kentucky state taxes for the entire life of this contract. I am, of course, speaking of the contract and phone plan that have never seen Kentucky.
Why, Sprint? Why are you so stupid?
New plan in Iowa = New phones purchased in Iowa = New contract executed and billed in Iowa = No, I never had this plan in Kentucky! = case number and refund, or so I've been promised.
I suppose she was hoping to retain my loyalty when the representative told me I'd receive a $50 credit to my bill if I renew with them.
Not bloody likely, but thanks for the information, Patricia. Just for the record, I was perfectly polite to Patricia, not a trace of peevish. Quite a feat, considering how I feel right now.
Ugh. Time for a benedryl and a coke or something. I feel blechy.
Hm. My bitching was interrupted by the sound of a siren nearby. It sounded like it was in front of the house when it was choked off. I went to investigate and found a firetruck has stopped at the townhouses across the street. A couple of girls in gym shorts and flip-flops are standing in the rain on their front step. Excitement in the 'hood!

Man. So Sprint isn't any better than Verizon when it comes to insane billing errors. Good to know.
