I'm not applying for a position as meteorologist, really. I just saw this and had to share my joy. After a restless night of disco-frenzy lightning and brain-rattling thunder, I was really hoping the rest of the weekend could be spent in the relative simplicity of plain old rain.

No such luck.

Never fear, though. I'm downing mini Coca Colas to keep the migraine at bay. My poor thalamus just doesn't know how to handle itself in a low pressure system.

I just hope there are no tornado warnings. I can't hear the sirens where we live.

Now it's pouring so hard I can barely see our mailbox. I'll take this opportunity to express my gratitude that we live on something of a hill. I will also express my dismay that we are out in the big wide-open and I'm always afraid I'm either going to be struck by lightning or that our house will blow away (ginormous as it is).

*hugs*

You've got my total sympathy!

This weather is crazy! (Even though I'm somehow loving the rain...) Thankfully, we're "only" getting rain, up here. (Well, we get periodic thunder booms... but it's mostly rain.) But my joints are going nuts, and my head is complaining royally.

My two mini cokes did wonders. I don't know what would make your joints happier, though.

We have a stream in the backyard. Part of it we built on purpose, to channel water past the house, the rest of it is part of default thing leading off from the golf course. No white water, yet, and I'm pleased to note that, so far at least, the rain is mostly coming straight down :)

Wow.

That's quite...intense.

Aside from the fact that the line is moving to the North-east, I'd say it looked as though we were about to be sat upon, but no, it's more like a buttcheek sliding past us :)

And now, the rain has stopped. Wierd.

Hasn't done shit here today except be windy and cloudy. It's a lot like Ireland!

I planted crocus bulbs and nestled purple asters into the ground and will hopefully hide the utility box when they're bigger.

Now I'm toggling between reading chapters in my "A History of American Higher Education" textbook, reading my Lonely Planet guide to Japan and building my itinerary, and convincing myself to start a paper for my educational psychology class.

fun times.

WOW! I'm glad you're safe. Sorry to hear about the migraine. I hope it's all better by now.

Hey! I can see my house from your radar!

I watched the same front come in, and thought to myself "Boy, those folks in Kentucky are about to get clobbered."

Where did you guys end up? I haven't kept as current on the blogs as I used to be.

Zoinks! Gotta go!
