Ah, well. After getting all our Thank You notes in the post, I only managed to post about two-thirds of the Christmas cards on my list. Perhaps this makes me a failure on the Grown Up Wife and Almost-Mother scale, but I did try. Mayhap my Christmas cards will become Happy New Year Cards. . .

Dad got into town yesterday, and I came home to find brand-new bookshelves and curtains in my office. It's going to be a beautiful, cozy and bookish room, and I'm excited to finish it. So all-in-all, a good day. The only downer is that I started coming down with a cold.

Good ol' burning eyes and scratchy throat make me worry that I'm going to be a snotty mess by Christmas. And I'll be pissy enough to mention that much of our holiday celebrations will be spent in the company of smokers. Joy!

Don't mind me, it's the tired and the lack of caffeine talking.

I only sent out half my cards, so far... so you're still ahead of me. (;

As long as you get them in the post by Monday, they still get to count as Christmas cards. After all, they were mailed by Christmas.

That's my approach, anyway. Last year I finished my cards on Dec. 24 at a Panera Bread in Syracuse.

I'm still mailing mine, and oh well if they don't actually make it there on Christmas.

I don't know that I have enough cards to cover everybody, either. Ugh. I may just fall a little flat on this task this year.

I figure I'll be forgiven if I get my christmas cards out by Dec 31. And I always seem to be.

Thank you.

What my poor throat really needs is some hot water and lemon.

I watched your Dad's flight all the way yesterday. Although they never showed that sucker landing!!

Phil has designed us some post Christmas cards cause I haven't sent out any (or bought any either).

Didn't realize that your extended family included smokers... I was the only one dashing outside to be bad at your wedding. Hope it doesn't bring on a migraine.

Have a wonderful Christmas. Love ya

No, a passel of 'em ran out when Jeff and I were trying to do the cake. Of course, they ran out on the pretext of packing up presents, but they were smoking, too.

I'm such a retard, you should do what I do. Whenever I think someone should get a card from us, I actually fill one out ( I buy them at the after xmas sales) and store it in a manilla envelope. At the end of November, I stamp em and post em.

Piss easy

See, now that's exactly the sort of forward-thinking habit I need to get into.

Bravo.
