Hormones?

I'm suddenly feeling very down and weepy. What the hell?

Everybody is gone to lunch and meetings right now, so I'm on my own and was just given a busywork task. Not a problem, because I've been thinking too hard all morning, and this is for something I will be presenting.

I've been asked to present this abstract/poster at the July meeting of the AACC in San Diego. The meeting lasts a week. There's no way I'm going to go for the whole week, and there's no way I'm going to go without my baby, which means that either my mom or Jeff will have to come with me.

Which means we'll need to pay for a plane ticket. *sigh*

Not that I don't love the idea of a short little honeymoon in San Diego, mind you. I'm just not about to leave my baby - not for anything!

Josh is almost two and a half and I STILL don't think I could leave him!

I obviously haven't been there yet to know, but I suspect I'll be the same way.

I sometimes wonder if/when I will be able to leave him somewhere, even just overnight! But honestly, I don't even have any interest in doing it!

Wow, that's pretty crazy! On one hand, that's great that they want you to present it... but were they thinking or not looking at your belly when they came to that conclusion? (;

Maybe they're thinking 4 months old is an alright time to leave a baby for a couple of days. I could pump enough to carry him over, in theory. Problem is, I want my baby to be a boob-man for a while, and even just a couple of days on the bottle could convert him.

Granted, this could all be moot if the breastfeeding doesn't work out. At that point, it'll just be a matter of me saying, "I'm not leaving my baby, no way, no how!"

*blink*

Did I just say all that? Whoa, reality check!
