It's about 9:15, and the outside temperature has made an amazing comeback from 5 F to. . . 6 F.

The good news is, one of my coworkers is out of town because her mother passed away last week. No, that's not the good news. The good news is that, with her out of town, I can park next to the building, instead of a block and a half away.

Also, I'm completely alone in the lab today - so far, anyway. Baby's awake, though, and keeping me company.

ick! its freezing here too, 10° without the wind. when the wind hits, i dont even want to know what temperature it actually feels like. thats sad that her mother passed away but parking near the building should be nice!

I'm ok to around 25 degrees, but anything below that is just too damned cold. 6 may as well be -20 in my book.

def. if theres no wind, im good to 25°. if there is wind, it needs to be above freezing haha otherwise, its all the same to me. i dont think i ever adjusted to NE winters when i moved here. to make it worse, all my friends and family from back home send pic of them down at the beach!

i dont mind a light breeze if its warm. but here, its very windy. and the way my school is, its set up in a circle, so when you cross the quad to go to a different class its like a wind tunnel. not nice in the rain or cold, but pleasant in the summer.

It was negative something when I left for work at 6:15 this morning... and for the first time EVER (including when I lived in Cleveland and northwestern Pennsylvania), the car didn't start on the first try!

I think it, like everyone here in Indiana, had become accustomed to the balmy temperatures. (;
