Picture mail is teh cool.

Not in a posty mood lately. Besides, whenever I think to post (as when I think to take a nap), the weejun decides it's time to talk.

We're all fine, though. I'm waiting to hear what TPTB at work have decided to offer in the way of a transitional period for my return. Being gone from Samuel for 9 hours a day sounds atrocious to me, but at the same time I think my brain is going to kill me if I don't get back into some mode of productivity.

Productivity outside of milk production, that is. I got that down, pat.

Ok, the Little Einstein gym is no longer keeping the young master occupied. He calls.

Yes, m'lord.

Wouldn't it be great if you could work halfdays for a time? Once during contract changeover a couple of women said "Halfdays; take it or leave it" and the company agreed to it, for about six months.

Still, I think it was great they got six months of half days.

Good luck going back to work. But that widdle face is going to be hard to say byebye to.

Oh, dear. That pic just makes me melt into a puddle of goo... (:

Meanwhile, I agree with [livejournal.com profile] curlicue about the half-days. When one of our coordinators came back from her leave, that's what she did, for awhile, and it worked out great for everyone.

Ok Ok...so I opened an account here, as well. Doesn't mean I'm leaving Myspace. I love that place too much. Haha. Anyway, I hope this is a way we can keep in touch. It's been FOREVER!! And when I say forever, I mean the last time I remember seeing you, you came to our house and swam w/ my brother and me and then we rode to the store in the very back of my grandma's station waggon and were asking for Candy Whistles?? Wow!!

So congrats on the hubby and the precious baby! That's so exciting. You look great too! Any chance you're going to venture to the great state of TX for the family reunion? Hope y'all get to make it down there. It would be great to see you. Well, I've written a novel. Keep in touch. You know, we probably don't live too far apart now. How far are you from Nashville, TN?

Wow, we're only 3 hours away from each other, now.

We won't be able to make it to the reunion, since neither of us have the vacation time or the funds. It sucks, because it's been so long since I've seen any of you guys, and I sometimes forget that I've got an extended family. I haven't been to texas for several years, and then it was a short visit. I went to college in San Antonio, but that's the last I was there, really.

I remember the same visit - when you mentioned the pool and the candy whistles, the bells went off :) I think I was in college then, but I'm not sure. It seems like forever ago.

Anyway, I'm adding you so you can see more of my filtered posts. Aunt Sharyn is on LJ too, as [livejournal.com profile] wistfulunicorn.
