The things you never even considered, or considered possible, are happening right under our noses.

In other news, I think I might make a wee li'l phone post tonight. Scotty inspired me to tell a silly little story.

In other other news, I'm working on ANOTHER presentation after spending several hours grading 19 exams for my class. Small progress at the bench, no progress on the thesis-writing, but I am gathering and reading quite a bit.

In yet other news, this is my daddy when he was a sweet young thang. Whadda cutie!

Mom, I'm gonna raid the picture albums when I'm home next week!

I just heard back from a woman I wrote to at Wisconsin. The woman is brilliant and does fantastic research that I'd love to get into.

She was very gracious, expressed sorrow that we hadn't had the chance to speak at the Victoria meeting - she's aware of my work and is interested.

As she put it, however, the sad reality is that she doesn't currently have room in her lab for new researchers - "even those of your caliber".

Sad me :-(

Check out the coolness that is Dr. Handelsmanl

This rocks! Make your own Bush campaign poster - hosted by the campaign!!

Here's my first attempt. I hope you would like it :-)

Yes I know, the first slogan I came up with could work for any campaign or administration, but it's the first thing I thought of that fit in the little window.

Some hints:
1. Put your slogan in the "city" field
2. Shut off your pop-up blockers
3. See Wonkette's page for more tips.

You can enjoy this no matter what your political flavor, I promise.

And now, perhaps a little phone post?
