I can't send any outgoing communications. Not more than these little blurbs. I can only send out through g-mail (and it doesn't matter which broswer I use to do it). Can't do any other webmail, can't post here, can't do anything at Distributed Proofreaders.

That tells me it's the BellSouth modem. BellSouth says it's my programs and they won't help me. I'm asking for a new modem and I'm being treated like I'm asking for the moon.

So, computer geeks, what could be wrong? And why should I have to pay $75 for them to replace their shitty equipment?

Since I can't post any substantial tidbits about my average life, I'll share something else:

For those of you who have railed against Exxon and "Big Oil", a reality check. Tickles my nostalgia button, it does, what with Saudi Aramco right there on top of the state-owned oil pile. Ah, home sweet home. *wry*
