Oct. 4th, 2007 10:41 amI'm setting up a business with my friend, Elizabeth. We are aflutter with excitement and nerves.
I imagine this as the stepping-off point on the journey towards having my own gift shop, stocked with beautiful things made by myself and my friends. This is my dream.
I'm looking very pointedly at some of you. Do you know who you are? :)
We're going to start at a juried show on November 10th.
Then - THE WORLD!

Date: October 4th, 2007 03:58 pm (UTC)My NYC friends told me they know of a baby things shop in Soho where my aprons could sell for $35 a pop! O_o Holy frijoles!
I'm starting more modest here in the midwest, but I may send some samples to my friends to see what they can do. *so exciting*
I want to sell your soaps, you know... if you want to expand your market share :)

Date: October 5th, 2007 12:05 am (UTC)I had a friend who lived with his family in Alaska for a year. His mom collected moose droppings and turned them into mosquito-shaped Christmas tree ornaments. She called them "Moose-quitos". I hear they were quite popular.
That was totally random. Please excuse my need to share ridiculous, inane pieces of information only loosely related to what you were talking about.

I sort of got the gist of the thing at the website, but if you have more detailed pics, that would help. I'd love to make one. THANK YOU!
