A Sunday with Samuel
Jul. 2nd, 2008 09:12 amAfter his morning nap and lunch, I put a swim diaper on Samuel and toted him outside to play in the pool. We stopped to talk to grandma as she weeded a bed and I realized it was too windy for pool-time, so I went ahead and dressed him so we could all sit around the tree, weeding. Samuel helped, of course.
When we were finished, Samuel went running off toward the backyard and we followed him down to the back patio to have a sit and a chat.
That's when Samuel decided that a swim looked like a good idea, after all.

"I'm concentrating really hard!" I'll note here that Jeff sometimes does this when he's concentrating, too :)

He first tried to walk out, but mom reminded him that he'd stepped up to get in, he'd better crawl down to get out. We've been practicing our furniture and stair dismounts, you see. Here he is climbing back in for another dip.

Later, after Jeff and Dad had returned home and we were working on planting carpet roses and Russian sage in the new bed, Samuel decided to crawl into the big pool, too. Looks like we've got ourselves an AquaBaby!
I've some photos from Samuel's experience in a real pool, but I'll save those for later.
