Potch and I were chatting the other day about, what else?, music. He asked me what I want as my wedding song.

Obviously, I'm not getting married anytime in the foreseeable future, but I do have a few favorite love songs that may be good candidates for a wedding song. So far, I've come up with five - let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Billy Joel - She's Got a Way
REM - You are the Everything
Jim Croce - Time in a Bottle
James Taylor - How Sweet It Is
Tom Petty - Angel Dream no. 4 (from the She's the One Soundtrack)

If these songs don't set your heart aflutter. . . well, you just may need to check your pulse :-)

Monday - the bottom of a steep hill to climb. Stretch and get to it!

I'm showing my age... my favorite is "Somewhere" by Johnny Mathis from West Side Story... but as long as it isn't "Send in the Clowns" ... Sharyn

Eeeyaurgh!!! I've had enough of "Send in the Clowns" in my lifetime... from the time I did it for my senior recital... to the time I spent an entire semester immersed in the Land of Soundheim when we did "A Little Night Music."

Speaking of ALNM, that's the musical that caused my roommate-at-the-time to start hating me and resort to writing childish notes to me and delivering them in front of my friends. (How old were we? 21!) Of course, I shared those notes with everyone in my department... the secretary thought I lived on the Jerry Springer Show.

But back to cosmic un-fairness and the search for Mr. Right..... said childish ex-roommate is still exactly the same (met up with her at a wedding last month...) and she's ENGAGED!!!

There's a reason for this, but I really wish I knew what it was... d:

It's always frightening to see our peers entering the bonds of marriage - especially when we don't particularly like those peers :-)

But I don't think of it as unfair, necessarily. What if your not-so-nice exroommate's mate is equally not-nice? In that case, you should be grateful to her for diminishing by one the number of Mr. Wrongs you and I need to weed through.

Then again, if he's a fantastic guy that you would love to have for yourself, feel free to be bitter at the unfairness of it all :-)

Love songs... Hmmm...

Well, my wedding sonng s was Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"

I pushed for Stevie Wonder's "I Believe When I Fall In Love With You It Will Be Forever"

There's also the most realistic love song EVER...

The Beach Boys "God Only Knows" Just listen to the words.

And a personal one, John Lennon's "Woman" and the Beatles "Something"
