Awww, he is SO cute. And he's getting so big. I wish I could be at home with Maelle too! (and it sounds mean, but not Kira. She likes being at school and she actually benefits from it, where Maelle could benefit just as much from exploring and playing with me).
I keep worrying that Samuel won't know the difference between his grandparents and me and Jeff :-/ That sounds awfully selfish, because I know he's benefiting immensely by being cared for at home, but still... it's that nagging worry.
He finally broke through with his 5th and 6th teeth the past few days, so he's been a bear. But with precious little moments like these, we can handle the mind-numbing fits.
Wow, and I thought Maelle was a slow teether. She's got 10 right now, I think. 3 of the 4 molars, the top middle 4, and 3 of the bottom 4. She's cutting that last molar though and when it starts moving, she really has a hard time too. Poor kids! :(
He will certainly know the difference between you and his grandparents! The real parents are the ones who get up with you in the night when you're scared or hungry... He will just get to also have a close relationship with gma and gpa as well, which will be very good for him. My kids only see any of their grandparents 1-3 times a year each. :(
I only saw my grandparents once a year when I was growing up, and (at least for gramma louise) I feel I lost a lot. So, yeah, I need to get over the worrying about my status in his mind. Again, it'll help when he starts calling me "mamma"! Dangit, kid, talk to me!
As for teeth, Samuel's got two up top and finally four on the bottom, but the right one came in first, and the left one only poked through on Saturday. Nothing like dragging out the drama, man. I can't tell if he's got molars coming yet or not.
He's started biting me on the knee, I guess he's that desperate.
Yep, it's a giant fish pillow my parents picked up at the Bass Pro Shop. Jeff and I bought him a body pillow for upstairs, but he doesn't love it as much as he loves his fish.
