What does Samuel think?

Samuel thinks Dixon is pretty darn cool, especially when he screams. That, my friends, is giggle-worthy material in Samuel's book. That's diaper-changing screams or FEED ME screams, mind you. Samuel doesn't go out of his way to make the baby cry.

Not yet, anyway.

No, he likes his baby brother quite a bit. He likes to touch Dixon's hair, lean in for kisses and pull off Dixon's socks. He likes to push Dixon in his car seat swing, too. Today, he tried to shake Dixon's hand in that "pleased to meet you" gesture my parents taught him.

I think they're going to get along just fine.

Yes, they are. I couldn't resist it just once. Dixon's got plenty of handmedowns to wear, and I've no business buying much new. But this, I had to do :)

I know! If you look carefully, you can see the one-pound difference, but otherwise... yeah. I gave birth to the same kid twice!

It's going to be so much fun, replicating the poses in Samuel's photos with Dixon. I want to see the moment when they start to diverge :)

I'm a big fan of matching jammies. Since I have a boy and a girl I can't really do the Evil Mother thing and match them up for family photos (although in the last ones we all wore white sweaters and jeans), but I can do jammies!

He does melt my heart. Lately, though, he's been acting out quite a bit, so I feel like an evil mommy - yelling at him all the time.

But then he brings me a dozen books and crawls into my lap for story time and all is well again.
