Popping my head in
Dec. 1st, 2003 01:43 pmI just spent a wonderful 6 days with my beloved
rozsdan. We slept, we ate, we drank, we took in some culture (at the bar, a few restaurants, three movies and an art museum), spent time with family (they like me! They really like me!) and spent a whole lot of time just enjoying each other's company.
I enjoyed every moment and was terribly sad to leave yesterday afternoon.
BUT! I left Louisville joyously driving my NEW CAR!!
Yes, my new car (new to me) arrived in Louisville on Saturday afternoon. The delivery guy called me on Friday afternoon to tell me he'd be in Bloomington on Saturday. I told him that's nice, but I won't be there. How about dropping it off in Louisville, instead?
Happy happy joy joy my 2001 Volvo S60 is mighty purty, has bee-oo-tiful gas mileage, and a little spunk to boot. *prrrrrr*
I do need to take it in for a balance/alignment check because it was a little shaky at some speeds, but otherwise it's in pretty damn good shape.
So, um, anyone interested in buying a '96 Sebring Convertible? I've taken good care of 'er and she's got low mileage. *sigh* Yeah, I know. I'm going to have to do this the hard way. Just thought I'd mention it.
Now it's back to work and the microbiological rat race, such as it is.

Date: December 1st, 2003 11:08 am (UTC)I've researched Blue Book, Black Book and Consumer Reports and have compared my car to others like it on cars.com to come up with a number.
Ideally, I would like $7300 for it. Like any good car salesman though, I'm willing to negotiate with you *grin*
The car is in Louisville (in Jeff's garage!) - heck it may be closer to you than it is to me, at this point. Weird.

Date: December 1st, 2003 11:50 am (UTC)It would be a really, really long shot. We'll keep it in the back of our minds, but don't choose not to market it on our account.
But it would be very cool, would it not? What color is it?

Date: December 1st, 2003 11:59 am (UTC)It's green (I think they called it fern) with a gray-greenish interior, cloth seats, and a charcoal/black top.
I won't market it in the paper until I get the car back up here to B-ton.
Possession is ....

So, you'll be leaving the house unlocked and I can move in to take squatter's rights while you're gone, right? Let's see, the code for the garage is. . .
Paul, I'll sell the Sebring AND a sexy Spyder to ya for the low-low price of $6850. And I'll wash 'em both for you, too.
Possession is. . . *mumble* harumph
