Ok, so I've spent the better part of the last 3 days in bed, fighting a fever, hacking up the ungodliest, disgustingest goo you've ever seen, and just trying to breathe. And sleep. Sleep would be good. I have had it up to *here* with television, but I'm not coherent enough to work on my cross-stitch project.

So, I'm trying to read. Mouth-breathing and reading and becoming more and more dehydrated. How can dogs stand to breathe with their mouths open all the time? I'm definitely more like a cat in that I will breathe through my nose until I nearly suffocate before I'll resort to mouth-breathing. I suppose the cotton mouth that results is one good way to force myself to hydrate.

Silver lining. Sort of.

I think 1 tsp of histussin with codeine wasn't enough. Sure, I'm not coughing, but I still can't breathe, nor can I sleep. Maybe I'll take another shot or two.

I realized an hour ago that I was supposed to call today to renew *AHCHOO* my *AHCHOO* (eww, gross) classified ad for the sebring. So I spent the last 45 minutes trying desperately to get the message across to someone that I mustmustmust renew the ad, please don't charge me to run a new one.

No luck. I think I sent a message through the online help thingie, but the post-sent screen said invalid To: and From:. Well, shit, there WAS no place to put a To: or a From:. They open at 7am tomorrow, so I guess I know what I'll be doing first thing in the morning.

All right, those sneezes left some nasty shit all over my face. I'm going to sign off, shut down and try to wipe myself clean.

Just don't let yourself dehydrate TOO much... I did that last month, and ended up in the hospital for three days on IV fluids for my trouble! :-(

This flu/cold/upper respiratory crud this year is just vicious! Take care!!

Thanks, hon. I'm definitely on the way to better, but I suspect there's a lot of hacking and nose-blowing yet to be done.

Check the link in my journal re. flu cures, try it and tell me if it works.
(A few drops of hydrogen peroxide in each ear, let sit for 10 min and drain, I think. Be warned that it might sizzle a bit and might hurt.)
