So there was a couple from Indy who were interested in buying my car. She came down to drive it, really liked it. Her husband called me last week to say he wanted to come down to drive it, and that they were more than likely to take it home. We discussed price. We bargained just a hair, and made a deal.

I got an email from them today saying they're no longer interested. They wished me good luck.

Thanks, guys. Really, thanks.

Bastards.

It's just like the people who yanked a house away from me after they accepted my offer. I came to the office in the morning to meet with them and sign the papers, only to be met at the door by my agent, who told me that they'd gone with another buyer. Turns out they renegged on our agreement for a measly $1500 on the house. Also turns out that the other buyer was an agent in the same real estate office.

There's a way of doing business, and there's a way of just trampling over people's emotions in a fit of dishonorable behavior. These are two prime examples of the latter.

God, I feel sick. Angry too, at myself for getting my hopes up, and at them for behaving this way.

There's so much going on right now, so much that I'm feeling sad or frightened or hopelessly desperate about. I'm struggling to focus on the good things.

Really struggling.

I'm sorry things are o-pee-chee sugar-bronze.

If it's a low day... then there has to be higher ones in store!

You're a bright, capable researcher, an interesting person, a person who has had a fair share of fun and intrigue, and a person who is more than usually resilient.
Those are things to be upbeat about.

Thank you. That really does help.

I've noticed that I've been a little short-tempered, lately. I need to remember these things and take the bad things in stride.

Heh. You should have heard me last night when, right behind my back, my kittens attacked and tore up a brand new wool sweater. Hoo-boy! But, this morning, I went out and bought two new sweaters and a t-shirt for the same price as the original sweater. It still cost money, but it was easily replaced.

Perspective - it's all about keeping perspective.

Well I can offer asterisk hugs and just say that I think you're pretty cool based on what I've been reading of you.

Loads of empathy and I'll find you something funny tomorrow :)
