No news of note today, or for the past several days, really. I guess the good news is that I woke up headache-less Monday morning. It was the first day in SEVEN (that's, 7) DAYS that I didn't have a migraine. Even then, I had occasional little stabby pains throughout the day.

Criminitly, where can I get a new trigeminal nerve? Anybody got a good spare?

Anyway, it was frustrating to say the least - more so because if I lose one week out of every four before my target outtahere date in August. . . well I'd be pushed back to at least September. SUCK

Still backing and forthing with a potential buyer for my house. The couple is pretty naive in matters of house-buying, and their attorney is (for some unknown reason) behaving as though he thinks I am equally naive.

I assure you, I am not that naive. Besides, I know how to spell earnest. So :-P

So I've taken it upon myself to explain the finer points of purchase agreements, such as: The seller doesn't have to pay for squat; and, No really, the seller doesn't have to pay for squat.

I've given in on one teeny little thing, but made it clear that I did it with reluctance and that I had no obligation to do it at all. Explain, explain, explain. . . draw up metaphorical and hypothetical situations to illustrate. . . explain explain explain.

With luck, they all got it this time. If not, well I'll just say "never mind" and find another buyer among the multitudes scrambling for property in the famed Bryan Park Neighborhood.

In other news, a bunch of shit here in the lab didn't work. I'm sure it was all my fault, gripe moan and complain, and I have to start over on a few things. In the meantime, I'm plowing ahead to get two other major, labor-intensive experiments started. To wit, this evening I go to purchase organically grown carrots.

Don't ask. I'll share a picture when I get the results, and even then you won't wanna know.

I'm also reading pretty much constantly. Some things are relevant to the Big Review I need to write, other things are relevant to what I want to do in the lovely Someday phase of my life. There is yet much more I need to be reading, for the other three manuscripts I need to write (aka The Thesis, but you know, there's only so much I can do at once before I go BOOM.

Last week, we saw what happens when Bronwyn goes BOOM. Ask [livejournal.com profile] rozsdan. He'll tell you it ain't a pretty picture.

It's quarter to five now, and I'm going to run away. I'm going to beat the traffic so I can run a few errands without exposing myself to too much road rage. Then it's off to home for food and reading and (Yay!) 24

Let's all hope that I manage to fall asleep tonight and stay that way until my alarm goes off, instead of waking up in a terror after only being asleep for about 45 minutes. It was another one of those dreams where I'm terrified and trying to dial 911 on my phone but I can't I can't I can't. . . then I manage to get someone, but they're not being helpful because it isn't real. Then I wake up terrified by the dream and by the horrible feeling that I actually might have dialed 911 in my sleep. Thank you, dear Jeffrey, for listening to my half-awake fearful rambling at one o'clock this morning. I appreciated it muchly. If you'd been there with me, you probably would have nudged me and reprimanded me to "stop dreaming!".

My sweet, sweet boy :-)

All right, 4:48. Outta here!
