Came across this via The Agitator. It's a list of 40 Things Every Drunkard Should Do Before He Dies.

I can only check off 4 and 19, and even those are a little of a stretch. Maybe 39 by association with my dad :-)

Go ahead. Tell me how close you are to completing the list of must-dos.

In other news. . . no news. The house is going to be appraised today. Let's hope it appraises where it should, so we can go ahead with this sale. It's one thing I'd like to have done and out of the way, even if it does mean my home won't be my home anymore.

Other than that, it's work work work. Same old tune, really.

I've knocked off about 25 or so from the list. Then again, I found that list some time ago and have been trying my best to get through most of them. I'll never get drunk with my dad and the idea of a bender seems a little rough...

But we watched Barfly because Bukowski wrote it and did a cameo. Of course, we were shitfaced when we watched it and these WERE my drinking buddies....but still.

Geez, I'm behind.

The only ones I've actually done are 24 (drinking on the job), 19 (drunkenly seeing the sun rise), and 16 (drunk with dad).

But there are some I've been desperately wanting to do for a long time: 20 (attending an AA meeting... to chicken), 38 (tending bar... no jobs for the unexperienced) and 29 (eating an egg from The Jar... she wouldn't ever let us), 8 (road trip... I talk about this in my journal ALL the time).

Yeah, I've been dreaming of a spontaneous road trip for a long time. By the time I get around to doing it, it won't be very spontaneous anymore. Hrm.

Jeff and I decided we can skip the magnum of champagne, since we both HATE champagne. Wonder what we can substitute?

Umm, I've racked up about 33 of those through out college, but strangely enough; I don't recall much of my classroom time.
