Date: May 30th, 2004 09:46 am (UTC)Actually, that day's events felt more distant to me than all these things going on in KSA. I know people who lost family on 9/11/01, but they weren't places and people I associate with home.
So even though the KSA attacks have directly affected no one I know personally - at least, not so far - they still touch me more. I still see the place as home and it holds so much of my memories and my identity.
It's hard to explain, and I'm not sure I understand it anyway.
