Yep. The sound our dinner used to make, when it was still alive :-(

And the sound we'll be making this afternoon as we eat it :-)

Even the cat is getting some Thanksgiving joy, as we've boiled those whatzits from inside the turkey just for her. What a lucky little furball she is, eh?

Let's see. . . turkey, cornbread dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, glazed carrots wine and oh-so-much-more food awaits us today.

I'm thankful for:
Mom and dad making the long trip to visit me, take care of me, and take care of my house (I'm sure my house is grateful, but she just can't express it).

My friends with whom I always have fun and who always take good care of me, even when I'm being obnoxious.

The fact that my intellectual life is fulfilling, although awfully stressful at times.

That I own my home.

That I have a beautiful garden, built with the loving help of mom and Dave.

That I have an appointment with a neurologist who (I hope) will FINALLY help me find relief from my migraines.

There are so many more things that are going well in my life. . . but these are just a few of those things I'm most thankful for.

I hope that those few of you who visit my little corner of the Internet have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
